We are actively investigating a recent issue affecting some MediaSeal users on Apple silicon devices. We have found that the changes, introduced by Apple in their latest releases of macOS Tahoe from 26.4.1, can potentially affect how MediaSeal interacts with the operating system. We are working to address this and will share further updates as soon as they are available.
Currently, our recommendations are as follows:
- We strongly advise that users do not upgrade to macOS Tahoe 26.4.1 or later on systems running MediaSeal at this time. To help ensure continued service, please remain on your current supported macOS version until a new MediaSeal version is released that ensures compatibility.
- For users who have already upgraded to macOS Tahoe 26.4.1 or later, we recommend that you delay installing MediaSeal on these systems until an updated version is available.
- If MediaSeal is already installed on a device running macOS Tahoe 26.4.1 or later and you are experiencing issues, we advise temporarily uninstalling MediaSeal as a precautionary measure while we work on the new release. For step‑by‑step instructions on how to do this, please follow our guide: How do I uninstall MediaSeal Decryptor?
We really appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to address this. Ensuring a stable and reliable experience for all clients remains our top priority, and we will share further updates as soon as they are available.
