Question:

How do I delete a job or a template?

Answer:

Jobs and templates cannot be deleted; instead, they can only be archived, which deactivates them and removes them from view.

**Archive jobs permission is required.  If you cannot see the archive option, please contact your client/content owner to enable this option.

Archiving Jobs

Via Encryptor Legacy

1. Go to Jobs.

2. Find the desired job and select it.  Note, you can select multiple jobs using ALT (Windows) or Command (macOS) or the shift key to select a range of entities.
3. Click Archive, then wait a few moments; the job/s should then disappear from the list.

Via MediaSeal App

1. Go to Jobs.

2. Locate the desired job and click the small archive icon in the ACTIONS column. Alternatively, you can open the job by clicking it, then selecting the Archive button.

Archiving Templates

Templates have been deprecated and are now treated as jobs. They cannot be archived using the MediaSeal Encryptor legacy system and can only be archived through the MediaSeal App.

To archive a template:

1. Log in to your studio's server via either the MediaSeal App or web URL.
2. Click on Jobs
3. Your template should appear as a job in the Jobs table.  Please note that a small black folder icon will appear in the STATUS column.
4. Locate the desired template and click the small archive icon in the ACTIONS column. Alternatively, you can open the template by clicking it, then selecting the Archive button.
