Question

What is MediaSeal Decryptor software?

Answer

MediaSeal Decryptor is a client application designed to allow you to access MediaSeal encrypted content.  Access to this content is typically controlled by your content owner / MediaSeal Encryptor.  The authentication process may include several elements, such as a password, iLok, and server verification.

When you attempt to open a Mediaseal-encrypted file, the MediaSeal Decryptor software manages the authorisation process.  It requests you to enter a password and may verify your access with a remote server to ensure that the appropriate iLok license is present and that you are authorised to access the specified content.

The MediaSeal Decryptor Client works harmoniously with your favourite applications, enabling you to view the content while maintaining high security.

To download MediaSeal Decryptor, you need to have a MediaSeal account. You can obtain this account through an invitation from your content owner or MediaSeal Encryptor.  After securing your account, you can log into the MediaSeal Portal to download the most recent version suitable for your operating system.

To activate your license, please follow the instructions in the How to activate your MediaSeal Decryptor iLok Licence article.

If you need more information about the Decryptor and how to install it, please refer to the MediaSeal Decryptor Manual or the Decryptor Quick Start Guide.

To ensure your MediaSeal software is operating correctly, please follow the How to check if MediaSeal Decryptor is running correctly? article.
