Enabling MediaSeal on M1/M2 Macs

MediaSeal encryption requires enabling the ‘Fortium Technologies Ltd’ system extension.  On M1/M2 Mac models, the default security settings block third-party system extensions, which may prevent the prompt to allow MediaSeal’s extension.  To resolve this, follow the steps below to modify your Mac’s security settings and enable system extensions:

  1. Shut Down Your Mac: Completely power off your Mac device.
  2. Enter Startup Options:
    • Press and hold the Touch ID button for 5 seconds during startup.
    • Release when you see the “Loading startup options” message.
