For Single-Factor Authentication (1FA) "password only":
No. You do not need an iLok
For Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) "password + iLok":
No. A machine based license can be used instead.
Note: It is recommended that a USB iLok is used as this provides a higher level of security and enables access of MediaSeal protected content from any machine with Decryptor software installed.
