Can I use any program to access the encrypted files?
Answer
Access to encrypted files is restricted to applications that are approved by MediaSeal. MediaSeal regularly updates its list of approved applications. If you would like to request the addition of a specific application to this list, please submit a request that includes the following information:
- the application name
- the vendor
- the version of the application
- the process name
- a description of the application and its intended use
How do you check the existing list of allowed applications?
1. Click on the MediaSeal Decryptor icon, running on your taskbar, near the sytem clock and hover over Configuration > Application whitelist.
2. The Application Whitelist menu will appear next. The applications are listed in alphabetical order.
