How do I use MediaSeal FS Diagnostics to check a file?

The Diagnostics page shows whether key MediaSeal File System features are running and includes tools to check a file.

Check the Status

Open Diagnostics from MediaSeal File System and review these items:

DecryptorTray: should show Connected.
Security Extension: should show running.
Notifications: shows delivering or silent.
Allowed Applications: shows which apps can open protected files.
MediaSeal Volume Reads and Currently open MediaSeal Files: show file activity.

Choose Header validation and select the affected file. This checks the file header and displays information about the file.

Choose Test Decrypt for the affected file. The tool tests decryption and shows checksum information for the first 64 KiB of the file.

Take a screenshot of the Diagnostics page and note the results of Header validation and Test Decrypt. Send them to Support if you need more help.
