What should I send MediaSeal Support?

Please send enough information for Support to identify your MediaSeal File System version, Mac configuration, and the issue you encountered.

Include:

  1. MediaSeal File System version - Find it under About MediaSeal File System.
  2. Mac information - Include the Chip and macOS details from About This Mac.
  3. What happened - Describe the file or action that failed, the message you saw, and what you tried.
  4. Screenshots and test results - Include the main window and, if possible, the Diagnostics page. Add any Header validation or Test Decrypt results you ran.
  5. DecryptorTray issue - If DecryptorTray is not connected, include the MediaSeal Decryptor Test report.

Please email the details and any available screenshots or test results to MediaSeal Support.

Technical Support


From 01/05/2022 technical support will only be provided to Operating Systems which are currently supported by Apple and Microsoft, or have been unsupported by Apple and Microsoft for less than 3 years. As of May 2022, this means technical support will be provided for Operating Systems newer than macOS 10.12 and Windows 7 SP1. MediaSeal will remain compatible with all existing Operating Systems, and our technical support team will endeavour to assist on all issues. However, long term support will not continue with issues on older Operating Systems should they not be resolved within a reasonable time.
