Issue

You receive the message "Authentication process timed out."

Cause

You attempted to access a MediaSeal protected file and you have not authenticated the file in the allowed time.

When prompted for the password, the authorization request dialog box shows a auto-deny countdown timer in the bottom left.  When the countdown is reached, if you have not entered a password you will receive this message.

Solution

Re-open the file and authenticate immediately.
